  1. Hey. So...A little change for my dept. I've decided to go for a volunteer dept. There isn't to many volunteer depts in the LFC. My depts name will stay the same as this volunteer dept will serve brick county. Brick Elum is the only town in the county but there are some uncorporated communities in the county. The fleet will start out with 4 engines, a ladder truck, a rescue, a tanker, 2 medics, reserve engine and a brush truck. The only units built so far is 2 engines which I've already showed and a ladder truck which will be rebuilt. Eventually when I have more fire apparatus added to the fleet in the future the dept will change to a career/volunteer dept. Ill give you guys a sneak peak of one of the planned rigs😉

  2. I'm trying to replicate this truck. What should I do to the lego rig above to achieve the look of the real rig

@Joshua B I would probably just use SNOT red grooved bricks

  3. Not so lego related but I wanted to show you guys the smoke from a wildfire on the east part of Washington state. God bless are you firefighters battling the blaze.

Nice!! I've been waiting on buying modulars because once you get one, all your other buildings look like crap in comparison. So you are forced to get them all!

@Rescue 423 I have a place that will make this thing fit in perfectly. @Joshua B and yes probably in a few weeks I will be setting it on "fire".

  5. Any ideas on how to do a ford cab like this? The one in between the engine and rescue

@Josh Yup that's the same thing I had in mind. @Rylie D Use curved slopes for the hood and the 3x6 45 degree windshield. Lmk if you need help with anything else!

Also if you wanna do it 5-wide I know of a way for that too but it'll have to wait till I get back home

  6. So....School😞. So for now on all my building will take place on Wednesdays and weekends. I have classes Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:45 to 3:05. After a long day of staring at a screen I'm tired and I'm not in the mood to build. So Mocs will be slow moving.

yeah, I know the feeling. I did online college classes last two years of highschool. it really does tire you out.

  7. I found some more pics of the rig. I plan on starting it soon but school is starting so we will see about that😉

ah yes... the original Rosenbauer Commander haha..... if only LEGO made trans-clear or trans-black corner tiles....

this is  pretty old school in terms of building techniques and wheels, but this is what I had for that particular cab modelUntitledModel.thumb.png.bde3902a761068cdca074f06c269a268.png

  9. So...I've decided instead of having a rescue engine I would build a heavy rescue so the planned rescue engine will become the 3rd frontline pumper. There's a fourth planned but that will be a reserve pumper

  10. Why have I've been so inactive?

This week I've been experimenting with some designs and I didn't feel like posting them. This week in gonna get the fire dept, rescue squad and city done. I have a one more building planned which will be a coffee shop and a dollar tree( one is opening in my town so I decided to add one to my lego city). Ill be posting alot of stuff on here and on I Instagram. Next week online school starts up and I will probably be inactive because I don't think ill be motivated to build after a long day staring at a screen.

  11. Guess what arrived today? The bricklink order I needed. Now I can get back to building. Also I'm on Instagram now.

    My username is rylie_d_04

I don't have anything on there yet.

  12. Okay I have an idea and I don't know if I will do it or not. I'm thinking instead of having ambulance that are part of the fire dept Of have a volunteer rescue squad that would consist of a couple of ambulances, a rescue and a ems superviser. On an ems call if the fire dept is closer they will respond and give medical help since all firefighters are paramedics. The fire dept would provide ems but will not transport. Then when the rescue squad shows up they would take over and transport the patient. Should ambulances be ran by the fire dept or should I have a volunteer rescue squad?

I love the idea, but if the department is full time why would the ambulance service be volunteer? IMO you should change your department to a volunteer department (since it's a pretty good size to be one) and then do the volunteer EMS like you said here.

    3. Rylie D

      Rylie D

That's my plan to change the firebdept to volunteer. With the volunteer rescue squad it would free up space in the fire stations.

      Joshua B

      @Rylie D I like that idea

  13. Update on the rigs. The ladder truck is done. Ill post it after I put decals on it. I'm working on the 2nd engine out of what I'm hoping to build 5 engines. This second engine is a Spartan S80 pumper. I do need to order some more pieces so some rigs might be delayed.

    1. Joshua B

      Joshua B

Is 1 ladder and 5 engines all your planning to build? Why not mix it up a little and have a ladder, a quint, a pumper-tanker and two engines or something? Can't wait to see the ladder though!

    2. Rylie D

      Rylie D

Don't you worry. That's not all that is planned. I'm also building a tanker or 2 and a few brush trucks and a rescue and ambulances

  14. Little update. Engine 1 got a new back bumper design. Ill post it and you can see if you like this version or the old version. Also I've updated my "about me" thing in my profile. Go check it out since it shares the backround about the town name and the fire depts name.

  15. Update on what's going on! The red tiles finally came so I can start building fire apparatus in the new colorsheme. Will start building the new rigs Tommorow.
