Thanks again to Algonquin Fire department, Plum Beach Fire Rescue, And Peterville Fire Department for Mutual Aid.

  6. Rescue 423

    Brickston Brush Fire

5:12 PM 7/4/2020 Lego City Fire Brigade was dispatched to what is know known as the Brickston Brush Fire. The call was for a small brush fire that had been sighted by a motorist on the A1 (highway). Engine 5, Engine 3, Battalion 1, Battalion 2, Utility 3, and LCPF all responded to the fire. It was a lot larger than initially reported, it had spread quite far south, and continued spreading until LCFB Utility 3 started wetting the dry grassland that the fire was using as fuel. Engine 3 began setting up a hard suction water supply line and Engine 5 began fighting the fire from the west. Unfortunately the fire kept spreading and the LCFB was overwhelmed. Engine 5 had to retreat back to the A1 (highway) because of how much fire it faced. The current incident commander (Battalion 1) then put out the request for Mutual Aid. The request was answered in a matter of minutes by Algonquin Fire Department. AFD Brush 3 followed by Reserve Brush 2 and Reserve Wildland 2 started an offensive attack on the fire along with LCFB Engine 5. and they managed to clear out a large chunk of the south-west area of the brush fire. next arrived AFD Tanker 2 and Tanker 5, who set up a portable water tank, which helped supply the fire attack with water. AFD Engine 5 and Engine 6 covered LCFB Station 5 and station 3. Station 5 got a medical call, and AFD Engine 5 responded with LCFB Medic 5. The call was for a fall victim. Due to a wind change (from light southern wind to heavy south-eastern wind) the small residentail community of South Brickston was in danger. LCPF quickly evacuated the community whilst LCFB put out another call for Mutual Aid. This was answered by Algonquin Fire Department, Peterville Volunteer Fire Department, and Plum Beach Fire Rescue. Peterville Volunteer Fire Department sent Brush 1, which was used for a small fire attack pushing the fire away from the residential community. Algonquin Fire Department sent Engine 4, which was used with Plum Beach Fire Rescue ALS 89 and Engine 89 for residential protection. The fire was finally extinguished at 1:18 PM, 7/5/2020. Special Thanks to Algonquin Fire Department, Plum Beach fire Recue, and Peterville Volunteer Fire Department for their resources and expertise that they sent our way.
  7. Unfortunately due to a wind change the wildland fire is currently threatening a housing development just outside Lego city. LCPF is evacuating the area but we need some more mutual aid. We need 1 brush truck, 2 engines, and a battalion chief vehicle to defend the housing development from the fire. Lego City Fire Brigade sends its thanks to Algonquin Fire Department for a quick response to our mutual aid request. If your department is responding please respond to this status update with your department name, and the name/number of unit you can provide.

      Joshua B

Oh hahaha I could not send Wildland 2 to replace Brush 3 then and also retract PBFR Engine 89? That would leave an opening for 1 brush and 1 engine

My website's a little out of date atm cause I have a bunch of rigs I've built but not posted and I've also switched around a bunch of rigs.

    3. Rescue 423

      Rescue 423

Ok. Yeah my LCPF website is really out of date too. The fire is under control so I will be sending back all the units you supplied. Thanks a lot for all the M/A!!!!! My next build for my department is a fire-fighting plane, would you want that as M/A for AFD? I will be posting the "incident report" soon which should highlight what happened!

    4. Joshua B

      Joshua B

You betcha! I'll have to get back to you about the plane, idk atm. Can't wait to hear what happened! I hope you didn't get my trucks too sooty 😜🤣

  8. Last week
  9. Lego City Fire Brigade is asking for deployment of mutual aid to a large brush fire that threatening North Lego City. All of our units are onscene and we are a mostly urban fire department, and our wildland division is really being stretched.

We require 4 brush trucks, 2 engines (to cover empty stations), 2 tenders, and any piece of aircraft firefighting apparatus that is available.

To show that your department is responding please respond to this status update with a list of all the names/numbers of the units your sending our way.

    Thanks in advance!

    1. Joshua B

      Joshua B

I'm the man you'll want for brush fires 😂 Reserve Brush 2 (SKEETER Step-side), Reserve Wildland 2 (Deuce and a Half), Brush 3(6X6 FIREWALKER), Brush 4 (6X6 FIREWALKER), Engine 5(Pierce PUC), Engine 6(E-One Rescue Pumper), Tanker 2 (Spartan Wetside), and Tanker 5 (Custom elliptical) can respond. That all the positions? LOL

    2. Rescue 423

      Rescue 423

Thanks!!! Yeah I didn't realize how small and underfunded my wildland division was until I dispatched the wildland fire. I'll let you know when we have it under control.

You are like the Wildland king!🤣

    3. Joshua B

      Joshua B

LOL yeah pretty much I've got 10 counting PVFD haha

  10. New Side Department:

I will be starting a new side department. This agency is a merger between 6 fire/rescue departments, a fire department, and an ambulance agency. The department will have 3 4-station battalions and 1 3-station battalion. There will be 2 divisions - Division 1 (Battalions 1 & 4) and Division 2 (Battalions 2 & 3). Each Division will have a Division Chief that will respond to calls when both battalions in their division are called to the same alarm.

Each battalion will have a Battalion Headquarters, training facility and minor maintenance facility (oil changes on apparatus, fixing SCBAs and such, except for the First Battalion). Each Battalion has a Battalion Chief, Chief Mechanic, and EMS Chief.

The First Battalion will have the Department Headquarters, the major repair shop, and miscellaneous storage facilities.

The 2nd and 3rd Battalions are each on the waterfront, and as such will have a combination of boats and water rescue apparatus in addition to the regular units. The 1st and 4th are both landlocked, and will run the typical units.

  11. As you may have noticed in my latest rigs, I'm kinda slowly and unofficially moving towards a new color scheme of red and black. IMO they go together a lot better then my previous schemes. I might not make it department wide, idk. I had an idea that maybe only wildland apparatus or the rigs from the second battalion would have it.

    1. Rylie D

      Rylie D

The red and black is a great looking colorsheme. Id make it dept wide. If your brush trucks or rigs from second battalion are in that scheme it might make it look like a totally different dept. In my fleet all rigs have the same colorsheme

    2. Joshua B

      Joshua B

It does look really good. Nah, plenty of departments have different schemes for different battalions. Actually one of the main reasons I might not do it department wide is because I don't feel like changing it on all my rigs 😂

  12. Orders placed for a third FIREWALKER 😎

  13. New fleet and town decided. The new fleet and town will be a small farming country town. The new fire dept will a career/volunteer dept. The town will receive policing from the sherriff. The new name for the town will be Brick elum. Right now my family is building a vacation house in cle elum wa. I've been over there many times and I love the small town feel and I want to incorporate that into my town and fire dept and sheriff.

    1. Joshua B

      Joshua B

      👍 Small towns rock

    2. Rylie D

      Rylie D

Yes they do. One of my favorite small towns is Ellensburg wa. Its 30 mins east of cle slim and it has a cute downtown. I have a friend that lives down there. It gets pretty windy. I live in snoqualmie wa. It is a masterplaned community. The houses are 10 feet from each other and there is 3 Starbucks in a 1 block radius.

  14. Earlier
  15. Big anouncment. New fleet is coming. I am rebuilding Paletobayfire into a new fleet. The fleet will either be a small town fire dept or a small washington state coastal beach town fire dept. The new fleet will have rigs from a mix of manufacturers. Along with the fleet I'm designing a new town and police dept too.

    1. Rescue 423
    2. Joshua B

      Joshua B

You've changed your department like 5 times now and haven't even hardly shown the rigs from any of them 😂 Sounds cool though, good luck!

    3. Rylie D

      Rylie D

Ya. The other 4 times I ended up not doing it and the last time I ended up not liking the rigs. This time I'm liking the idea And potential rigs. I've already built a police car for the new police department and soon I will start building the fire trucks.

  16. I'm thinking of scrapping this rig for something else. Question is, Should it be an ESU for LCSD, ambulance for MERCY EMS, or rescue for MERCY EMS?

    IMG_20200530_1403246.jpg

    1. Rescue 423

      Rescue 423

I think you should make an ESU for LCSD or if you really want to build something for MERCY EMS build a Rescue.

    2. Joshua B

      Joshua B

Yeah maybe I'll do a Pierce or Mack CF ESU. Too bad I can't afford some custom minifigs for it too 😂

  17. Recently built an undercover Ford Taurus (almost identical to my current Battalion 2). It is currently assigned to LCPF Gang Crime Unit. I will be posting pictures over the weekend.

  18. Also forgot to mention, Engine 7 is going to be a reserve engine, as of late July 2020. But this is not set in stone, because of the quarantine, it will be kept in service for as long as needed.

  19. Major Changes Coming Soon

(Mostly just for my fire brigade)

I modified the current Engine 5 (for hopefully the last time 🤣) and I think I'm happy with how it looks. Also Battalion 1 went through some interior changes and just got out of the shop (will post pictures soon), now its a lot more realistic.

The Lego City Ambulance Service has recently been integrated into the Lego City Fir Brigade meaning that ambulances will now respond alongside fire trucks in certain stations.

One station getting these changes is station 5, with the current rescue 1 going out of service today in order to be re-built into engine 3, which will be staffed in the new station 3 alongside utility 2 and 3.

Taking its place in station 5 will be Medic 5, a new Mercedes Benz sprinter ambulance, which is keeping its old "Lego City Ambulance Service" paint job.

I want station 3 to be able to fit in a 16x32  sized base plate. If anyone has suggestions for the station design feel free to comment below. Any help would be really appreciated.

    1. Joshua B

      Joshua B

About the station, is a supposed to fit in to some sort of a modular street? That would be the easiest way to make a station that small look good.

    2. Rescue 423

      Rescue 423

Yeah it is, I haven't got any of the pieces to make the modular street yet but the station is top of my list. I want to have it like Sven's FDNY Firehouse E-5.

    3. Joshua B

      Joshua B

Looks like you've already got already got a plan then :) I want to build one of those in my town too, but I've already got a station.

  20. I've got a bit of a desision to make. I'm going to build a few trucks for paleto bay and then I will build a county fd that will be replacated off of a real county. The decision is which county. Should I do Orange county fire authority or los Angeles county fire dept. Which one?

    2. Rylie D

      Rylie D

I'll think about that. It would introduce some E one and kme into the fleet.

    3. Michael P.

      Michael P.

Or you could do what I did and pick a county, and build whatever you want

    4. Rylie D

      Rylie D

@Michael P ya I'm doing that for the city fire dept. I want the county fd to be a replica of a real socal dept.

  21. More decisions.... Saber rescue pumper, Enforcer RMA, or Enforcer TDA? The only thing that's stopping me from the tiller is that I like the Saber chassis and they don't make Saber tillers 😭

    2. Joshua B

      Joshua B

Very good point! I'm kind of focusing on the suburban parts right now, since that's the part I have built in real bricks. I'll probably see how the tiller goes and if I don't like it go with the Saber. I eventually will need another truck though because I made a new truck company (Truck 4) but I don't have a rig for it, so right now the reserve ladder is in that position. Thank you for your input!

    3. Michael P.

      Michael P.

Enforcer tiller quint. Need I say more? 🤪

    4. Joshua B

      Joshua B

LOL no you don't 😂 If it works out the tiller will be a PUC too

  22. I'm starting to put orders in for a new engine... But I can't decide between an E-one Cyclone rescue engine, commercial cab pumper-tanker (similar to Engine 102), and Pierce Enforcer, Velocity, or (maybe)Quantum rescue engine. Anyone got opinions or ideas? It's going to be the first rig in a new station, Station 6, which serves a suburban area.

      Joshua B

If I build a Pierce it will be a Quantum most likely or maybe a velocity, but I'm leaning toward building the Seagrave Meanstick I posted and running it as quint or something. I also thought about a Spartan boomer or some kind or snorkel too, but I really like the way that meanstick looks.

I’ve updated my E-ONE Cyclone/Typhoon since I first posted the old Squad 9 back in 2017. One of the biggest changes from that design is the addition of the tiles just behind the grille. Imma be real with you, getting those tiles connected were a big pain to figure out 🤟

    4. Joshua B

      Joshua B

Yeah I've seen the updated version but I kinda like the old one better is some ways. If I build an E-one it will probably be more like Squad 9 but with those tiles. Yeah that must of been a pain alright 😂 I think I see how you did it though

  23. wishing I could build some more rigs IRL. Don't have the pieces...and ordering the pieces for ONE of my planned tower trucks would cost over 100 dollars. :/

    1. Michael P.

      Michael P.

Look into the pieces you are using. Chances are, if you are using the wrong subtype (for example, there’s 3 different kinds of jumper plates. One of them is much cheaper compared to the others), your price can vary quite a bit. Also, if you are using rare pieces, those will drive your price way up. Rare colors can also cause your price to go up quite a bit.

  24. I am now selling apparatus. Please PM me if you're interested in discussing anything. I take payments via PayPal. Have a nice day!

  28. Hey Ron,

I was wondering if your department would be willing to be Mutual Aid with Lego City Fire Brigade?
